Ingredients( 4 servings )
- 400g smoked white warehou
*Smoked salmon or smoked white-fleshed fish can be substituted, which must be precooked. - 250g long grain rice
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1 clove garlic
- 100g green peas (canned)
- 2 tablespoons curry power
- 1/2 tablespoon turmeric
- 560ml water
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 50g minced parsley
For decoration
- 3 boiled eggs (cut in wedges)
- 1 lime (cut in wedges)
Directions

Warm butter in fry pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and fry until onion is translucent.

Add the curry powder, turmeric, and rice, and fry for around five minutes.

Add 560ml water, cover the fry pan with a tight-fitting lid. Cook over low heat for around 20 minutes until the rice is cooked through and there is no remaining liquid.

Stir in the green peas, and cook for another five minutes.

Take fry pan off the heat, and stir in the parsley and the smoked warehou cut into bite-size pieces.
6.
Transfer to plates and decorate to taste with wedges of boiled egg and lime.
