The three years (FY2022-2024) our medium-term management plan “For the ocean, for life MNV2024” covers are a period for building the foundation for the Maruha Nichiro Group to generate sustainable growth and enhance enterprise value, while becoming an indispensable presence in society. Along with strengthening our business foundation, we will work to maximize enterprise value by integrating management strategy and sustainability to achieve the trinity of economic, social and environmental value.
In terms of creating economic value, we will actively work on structural reforms of unprofitable businesses, strengthening and investing in foundations for the future. One of the key measures is “resource allocation based on business portfolio.” In order to respond to the harsh changes in the business environment, we must improve our business with a sense of velocity, otherwise growth will not be possible. With reviewing our portfolio in mind, we will clarify rules for capital investment and proceed with discussions that are not based on business continuity.
We will continue to pursue a strong “Maruha Nichiro” that is unaffected by the external environment and contribute to the creation of a sustainable earth and society as a company that delivers “wholesome, safe and healthy food” to people around the world, in line with our Group Philosophy, to achieve sustainable growth and enhance enterprise value.
