Global initiatives and international conferences to raise awareness

Maruha Nichiro joined the Seafood Business for Ocean Stewardship, a global initiative established in 2016 by eight of the world's major seafood companies and scientists studying the ocean, fisheries, and sustainability. And we participated in the Keystone Dialogues, a new conference that promotes best practice in the global management of seafood resources.

Tuna food

Tuna food

Maruha Nichiro invented the formula feed for farmed bluefin tuna. It helps reduction of the environmental burden on water quality and the sea floor, cut the transportation energy used for distribution and storage, and improve the quality of the bluefin tuna.
